About

WHo thought just wanting to catch frogs would lead to this?

I spent much of my youth looking into ponds and under logs. I went on to earn my Ph.D in Biology studying the frogs that I grew up catching, but something else happened along the way. I had friends who shared their interest in computers, and I owned a computer at home long before they were a common home appliance. I was in the right place at the right time to have my biology and computer interests collide. It lead to a variety of projects that prepared me to help others use technology at scale and positions at University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin - Madison, and Harvard University.

I am just beginning to reboot this site. This is my place to share things that I care about outside my day-to-day work, photography, cooking, or whatever else captures my fancy. It is an eclectic mix like a small collection of frog recordings.
